What the evidence says
McKinsey’s 2025 GCC AI research reports that 60% of respondents said their organisations used AI agents to some extent. The source explicitly includes exploration and pilots as well as more mature use. This is self-reported, cross-industry evidence—not a measure of autonomous marketing deployment or a Saudi-only adoption rate.

The Metrix-360 interpretation
Our interpretation is that marketers should define permissions before autonomy. A reporting assistant that flags an anomaly has a different risk profile from a system that changes spend or publishes a claim. Start with observation and recommendations; introduce execution only where the action, budget and recovery process are bounded. For a regional brand, Arabic and English review is part of quality control, not an optional translation step. The relevant question is whether the workflow becomes more dependable after accounting for supervision, not whether an agent can complete a demonstration.
A proposed 90-day action plan
Our implementation recommendations—not findings from the source study.
- Days 1–30: Inventory candidate tasks and classify them as read-only, draft-for-review or action-taking. Document prohibited inputs and decisions that always need approval.
- Days 31–60: Pilot one read-only task, such as a daily performance exception brief. Compare alerts with actual incidents and track missed issues, false alarms and review effort.
- Days 61–90: Consider a narrowly authorised action only after stable results. Require logs, spending limits where relevant, a responsible owner and a tested way to stop or reverse the action.
What to measure
- Useful alerts / total alerts and missed-issue rate
- Time to detect and resolve a verified issue
- Human review and correction effort
- Unauthorised actions, failures and recovery time
Risks to avoid
Do not give broad account access to an unvalidated workflow. A confident explanation can still be wrong. Reports on adoption do not establish security, reliability or business value for your implementation; those must be tested separately.
Earn autonomy through evidence. Keep high-impact publishing and budget decisions under explicit control.
Methodology & limitations
Secondary synthesis of a GCC cross-industry study with original implementation recommendations. No live agent, integration or autonomous campaign capability is claimed for the Metrix Signal System.
Source dates may precede this analysis. No new fieldwork was conducted, and recommendations are not performance guarantees.
